It made it up to #4 on the pop chart, but that was about it for the group, at least here in the USA. Fronted by the amazingly permed singer Carol Decker, they did have a couple more hits overseas and actually re-united last year for a 25th anniversary tour. So, WTF is a T'Pau? Sci-fi fans know that the name came from a character on Star Trek.
