This new Portlandia sketch, in which the members of an all-male feminist support group congratulate themselves on randomly asking women if they're doctors and ignoring hair to the point that they "just see bald women," features one of those perfectly absurd Portlandia flourishes: a guy who keeps interrupting the men's muted clapping with an air horn. Not to get all undergrad thesis on it, but those sudden blasts over the tender applause serve as a reminder that sensitivity and howling obliviousness can, and often do, go hand in hand.
