Guess you millennials out there could call this an "oldie" since it was recorded waaaay back in 2005 -- and the rest of us can just settle for "holiday appropriate." Lots of musicians contributed to this now-classic penned by Islands' Nick Thorburn -- including Karen O, Beck, Arcade Fire, Peaches -- and there are many versions floating around ("disco mix"?). And alhough we love it, this song needs a major update. Admit it, this has been one motherf***in' scary year. Razor blades in apples? The undead? What about Ebola, ISIS and Putin? At least a Ouija Board is still scary (and timely). On the bright side, the song was meant to be a benefit recording, with all the money going to UNICEF. Now, repeat after us: "We want candy, we want candy, we want candy!"!
