In her new video, "Lovers In The Parking Lot," Solange heads back to her native Houston and dances and prances her way through vacant hallways, a basement cafeteria, a pawn shop and a local mall where Bun B used to work. The singer's as shimmery as her pop-R&B song, dressed in shiny pink hot pants, printed Jeremy Scott-type leggings and metallic lamé blouses, appearing like a sparkly orb in otherwise muted surroundings. Produced in partnership with The Creators Project (a partnership between Intel and VICE), the highly-stylized clip is ultimately simple (no complicated, cinematic plot lines here) but mesmerizing nonetheless. And -- not that this hasn't been said before -- for all of Beyoncé's greatness, it's pretty hard to play it cooler than the younger Knowles.
"Lovers In The Parking Lot" appears on Solange's True EP, out now.
