"Obey the Giant," the Short Film About Shepard Fairey's Early Life

Roll out your red carpet (home version) for the world premiere of "Obey the Giant." The first narrative film on the early life of the acclaimed artist Shepard Fairey airs on the Internet on April 15. Directed by New York-based filmmaker Julian Marshall -- and starring Josh Wills as the young Mr. Fairey -- the short (26-minute) film follows the artist during his student days at RISD in Providence, Rhode Island, and his epic battle with that city's mayor. Shepard, you may recall, was the guest editor of our November 2010 "Art" issue, but we'll have to wait for "Obey II" to see him in action at our NYC headquarters.
