Murray Hill's Oscar Party
Who better to host an Oscars evening than Mr. Showbiz himself? Cabaret personality Murray Hill will once again be holding his famed awards night soiree at Joe's Pub, covering the entire evening from the red carpet to the marathon ceremony itself. Guests are encouraged to dress as their favorite celebrities and to compete for awards that include "Best" and "Worst" dressed and "Three Sheets to the Wind" (a title for the most intoxicated, of course).
Joe's Pub, 425 Lafayette Street; 7:00pm, tickets for purchase and dinner reservations available
KTCHN hosts an Old Hollywood-era glamorous evening with specialty cocktails and a menu inspired by the first-ever Oscars ceremony in 1929. Fill out your Oscar ballots correctly and you could take home a prize -- unlike the famed Gloria Swanson, who lost to Janet Gaynor at the first awards.
KTCHN, 508 W. 42nd Street; 7:00pm, reservations required

Nitehawk Cinema's Movie-Inspired Dinner
Indie movie house Nitehawk is hosting an Oscars dinner that sounds like something out of our cinephile/foodie dreams. The meals and cocktails are inspired by Oscar-nominated films of years past. We're partial to the Silver Linings Playbook dish (Philly Style "Kandy Kakes") If only all food was inspired by movies! The night includes trivia, curated clips, drinking games, and more.
Nitehawk Cinema, 36 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn; 7:00pm
