Tribeca showroom Mondo Cane specializes in unusual vintage pieces, so we're pretty pumped to hear they're teaming up with avant-garde design magazine Apartamento to set up a garage sale this upcoming Thursday. Patrick Parrish of Mondo Cane is digging deep into his storage closet to hawk a selection of items he's been collecting for the past 25 years: small home furnishings and designer accessories under $100, as well as a large selection of outsider art.
In addition to Parrish's treasures, there will also be a raffle auctioning off a copy of the first (hard to find) issue of Apartamento, with proceeds going to non-profit Smallwater to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. The garage sale starts at 4 p.m. and will include a dance party (complete with a DJ) from 6 to 9. And on stands now you can grab Apartamento #10, which features Tauba Auerbach, Ai Wei Wei, Juergen Teller and more.
