On the heels of last week's
new-LP reports, Brooklyn's reigning rock trio have announced a benefit concert at Williamsburg's
Union Pool on December 8, with all proceeds going to
Waves for Water, a surfing-affiliated clean-water non-profit whose
Hurricane Sandy Relief Initiative is working on rebuilding efforts in New York and New Jersey. The 74-capacity club will be an unusually intimate setting for a band who
headlined Radio City during their last tour in 2009. $75-$100 tickets go on sale
here tomorrow at noon; there is a two-ticket limit and no reselling. Opening is the
Higgins Waterproof Blackmagic Band, a new project from TV on the Radio's
Tunde Adebimpe.
