Bike Kill, the block party
hosted by the Black Label Bike Club, returned for its 9th year to an
otherwise quiet block near their clubhouse (aka the Chicken Hut) in
Bed-Stuy. Unlike last year, it
managed to beat the freak Halloween storm, and a decent-sized crowd
turned out to watch and ride all the creative contraptions. Contests
included the group's traditional tall-bike jousting event, as well as a
new one -- the muff dive (turns out these guys are just as good with foam
sculpture as they are with bike-building). Check out photos below.
