Friday the 26th

MF Gallery is hosting their free 10th annual Halloween art show at the Gowanus gallery. This year, artists on display include Lisa Petrucci of Kickass KrutiesGWAR singer Dave Brockie, and Michael Mararian of Inky Dreadfuls. [via Time Out]

Environmental group Times Up is having their annual Halloween Party. Dress up in your scariest costume, and head to Union Square Park where you'll bike en masse to the party under the Williamsburg Bridge featuring music by DJ Money. The bike ride demonstrates how "scary" the streets will be without proper public transportation. [via Village Voice]

Saturday the 27th

Go to CLUB HELL at the Knockdown Center to rave all night (and morning) with DJs Fatima Al Qadiri, $hayne, Venus XTC, Nguzunguzu, Total Freedom, and more. There will be an installation by THUNDERHORSE along with buses trekking people to the space from Bushwick, dancers, lasers, and more. If there's one party to be at this weekend, this is it.

Santos Party House is hosting a particularly wicked "Fright Night" that is sure to be one of the best non-stop dance parties of the night. In the past, they've nabbed the "Best New Club," "Best Night Club," and "Best DJ" categories in our annual Nightlife Awards, so you know it's got the Paper stamp of approval! [via Joonbug]

Celebrate Halloween and New York Night Train's 7th anniversary by hitting up the Haunted Hop at Brooklyn Bowl. Dance to DJ Jonathan Toubin spinning spooky 45's, catch Dionne Werewolf (an orchestra made up of wolf-women), and bring your most imaginative get-up for their costume contest. [via Flavorpill]

Get mysterious and put on your best Victorian garb before heading out to the Masquerade Halloween Ball at the Brooklyn Lyceum for fortune-telling, face-painting, and snake-charming. We repeat: snake. charming. Woah! [via Flavorpill]

Sunday the 28th

a56ycoccmae2r0u.jpgKlaus Biesenbach of MoMA PS1 and Courtney Love of...well, of Courtney Love -- are hosting a Halloween fête as PS1. The event includes a costume workshop for participating artists (of which there are many), a costume parade, and a Halloween party with music by weblebrity Mykki Blanco. Expect for shit to get crazy and to see Courtney and Klaus in un-pixelated, un-watermarked form. (Apparently PS1 has better things to do, like, say, organizing this costume contest, than to set up a PatrickMcMullan.com account?)

Tuesday the 30th

Join artist Paco Cao in connecting with the celebrity dead in his latest performance exhibit Eternal Rest at (Art)Amalgamated Gallery. Cao has taken images of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse and combined them with European Renaissance portraiture, which he then turned into tarot cards that he will use in live readings at the exhibit.

Electronic music and fashion label Kitsuné Maison is throwing a Halloween party with music by The Twelves, Yuksek, New Moods, and JDH & Dave P at Le Poisson Rouge. [via Flavorpill]

Brightest Young Things are putting on Freakin Halloween at The Gallery at Dream Downtown, a crazy Hallows Eve bash featuring music by artists Rye Rye and Stalley and DJs Autorock and Jasmine Solano. The party will have everything from mummy dancers to scream booths to free candy. [via BYT Presents]

Head to Glasslands Gallery for their 7th "Monster Mash," a night of bands dressing up as and covering some of their favorite acts like Led Zeppelin, Wham!, Fleetwood Mac and more. [Flavorpill]

"Webster Hell" presents the official Halloween Parade After-Party. In addition to having four full floors of dance music, the party will also hold a serious costume contest with a $5000 cash prize. And, at midnight, a virgin will be chosen from the crowd and sacrificed on a giant pentagram hanging from the ceiling. Wait, what?! [via Joonbug]

Christie's is hosting an invite-only 'Factory Chic, Halloween Drag' party and preview of their upcoming Andy Warhol show, featuring 350 Warhol photographs, prints, paintings and works on paper.

Head to the Wythe Hotel Halloween party (in costume -- it's mandatory!) to party to the music of Ghostly, Chances With Wolves, Terrible Records and more. Invite only.

Susanne Bartsch invites you to dance til' your dead at the Copacabana tonight, for a Halloween extravaganza with DJs including DJ Ansoni, Kayvvon Zand, Horsemeat Disco, Johnny Dynell and special guest-host Amanda Lepore. $20 with invite.

The New Museum is hosting an invite-only Halloween after-party with artists The Denzels, Slim Dollars, Don DeVore and The Historics, and MGMT performing including a video installation by Georgia Canal.

Celebrate Halloween and the launch of Twin Magazine's 7th issue at the Electric Room at Dream Downtown and then party at Nur Khan's Electric Halloween event at the Electric Room right afterwards featuring DJs Chloe Norgaard, Elle Dee, Kieran Taylor and more. Invite only.
