A day after he joined Bon Iver for a surprise performance in NYC courtesy of Vitamin Water and The Fader's Uncapped series (more on that later today!), Frank Ocean has a new rap-heavy track, "Blue Whale." Ocean nimbly rhymes over beats as smooth as those found in his R&B songs, name-checking Earl (Sweatshirt,
we assume) and Hurricane Katrina ("My hometown flooded, with just a
little bit of water") and making subtle references to his sexuality ("I
wasn't much into the type that my bros liked / so I never really had no
wife, and that's alright"). It's a thoughtful, slightly stream of consciousness-style track and you can listen to it in full below.
