Only in #Japan will you meet a Hamburger Idol Group: Hamburgirl Z http://t.co/CCZCFzCtTJpic.twitter.com/OEILXBm8ni

Who would have thought, but apparently Japan's hottest new girl group is called Hamburgirl Z, which is aptly themed around, well, hamburgers and their toppings -- because I guess McDonald's jingles were getting old.
Currently there are 15 members, each with a different themed topping that ranges from standards like eggs and lettuce to anomalies like...fish and two onion gals. And while Hamburgirl Z seem pretty new to the J-Pop scene, they apparently have some major backing already, as their producer also happens to also moonlight as the chairman of the West Japan Hamburger Association.
Hm, do we smell a half-cooked marketing campaign? Watch clips of the group below and decide for yourself.
