Bring on the Thursday weepies, because French pop artist Christine and the Queens has just collaborated on a track with Perfume Genius, and it's indescribable levels of beautiful.
Dubbed "Jonathan," Christine said she wrote the song "because my lover would ignore my existence outside of the closed, silent room I lived in; it became then imperious for me to sing, just to make sure I was still here." Inspired by queer culture's struggle against being hushed by societal shaming, she says the song is "all about being loud and fierce - shame is nothing but an insidious negation: you shrink, you whisper, you hide" -- a sentiment that needs to be heard by everyone in both English and French. Listen to gorgeous tune below.
