The Honey Brothers at Bowery Ballroom

The new-wave folk act like to describe their origin story as one in which they met at "ukulele fantasy camp" but fantasy camp or not, the three original members, close friends from college, bonded in the wake of 9/11 over the Hawaiian instrument and began to learn folk songs over long dinners and drinking sessions.  In 2002, the group added another member who joined its entourage just as he was starting another: Adrian Grenier.  Now five members strong, they're sure to put on a lively set at Bowery Ballroom. BONUS: Read PAPER's "night out" with Adrian and the Honey Brothers that ran in 2005.

Bowery Ballroom, 6 Delancey St., New York.  8 p.m. $20.

Feeling Tribal at Misha Nicole

Head to global-chic Bowery boutique, Misha Nicole, for a night of socially responsible spring shopping.  They'll have fashionable products from Rwandan co-ops/NGOs as well as a children's trunk show from Ode Kids whose garments are perfect for the "hip, modern, globaltoddler."

Misha Nicole, 303 Bowery, New York. 6 p.m. Free.

Paul Simon at Lincoln Center

The legendary singer-songwriter plays from his catalog with special guests Wynton Marsalis and Aaron Neville.
