Taking some cues from Wes Anderson, Beirut pull out the blush-tone pastels, Futura-mimicky typography and quirky hijinks in their new video for "No No No."
The title track of their new album due out in September, the video is a silly, absurdist parody of the American Bandstand set-up...which would probably explain the surprise baguette, puke scene and cardboard guitar. Oh, and a skunk. And this whimsical attitude is reflected within "No No No's" upbeat jaunt and gleeful brass, which contrasts nicely with frontman Zach Condon's sonorous, cognac-soaked voice.
