Hail a cab and ask to go to Herring Cove beach. It should drop you off at the intersection of 6 and 6A where there is a snack stand and tons of parking. Lay out, breathe deep and take in one of the Cape's prettiest beaches.

The restaurant, situated around a picturesque New England wrap-around porch, will make you feel like you're at a summer barbecue.
