Apparently young British parents have deemed George, Joe and James très passé, because there's been a continued rise in Game of Thrones-inspired male monikers, with Theon and Tyrion leading the pack. Because who doesn't want their kids to carry on a legacy of violence porn and misogynistic objectification?
According to the U.K. Office of National Statistics, last year there were 18 Theons, 17 Tyrions, 4 Sandors and 4 Brans, though the largest surge in GoT names was in 2011 when the show first aired. And while you probably thought baby names bottomed out at shit like Arrow or Apple, just remember that there's potential for a lil'"Reek" in the future.
