Twenty years after Australian costume designer Lizzy Gardiner showed up at the Oscars wearing a gown made out of 254 American Express Gold cards, Alexander Wang recreated the famous dress for the CFDA Awards last night. Wang's design was more subtle than that of Gardiner's -- he crafted a beautiful long-sleeve mini-dress featuring round, laser-cut Gold Card paillettes as seen on model Anna Ewers -- but no less money.
