Whether in animated series or comic books, fictional cartoon characters seem to be several steps ahead when it comes to gay acceptance and gay marriage. News today that X-Men comics might have a gay wedding in a future issue between Northstar and his boyfriend, Kyle, adds another example to an already extensive list of comic books and cartoons that have featured gay characters and gay weddings (Archie's "Gay Marriage Issue" even sold out despite backlash from conservative groups).
