L.A.'s controversial band of rap weirdos, unofficially led by Tyler, the Creator, are releasing their first proper album, OF Tape Vol. 2, today, and the early buzz is very positive... Catch what will surely be an exciting and raucous show tonight at Hammerstein.

Hammerstein Ballroom, 311 W. 34th St. 7 p.m. $35 in advance, $40 at the door.

VCR Party at Nitehawk Cinema

At New York's "first VHS-based variety show," hosts Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher have invited a slew of our favorite comedians (Leo Allen, Craig Baldo, Jason Trachtenburg and Derrick Belckes) to share funny video-related stories alongside funny videos from the Found Footage Festival collection -- videos discovered at garage sales and thrift stores.

Nitehawk Cinema, 136 Metropolitan Ave., Williamsburg, Brooklyn. 9:30 p.m. $11.

Dustin Yellin's "Investigations of a Dog" opens at Half Gallery

Red Hook-based artist Dustin Yellin, known for his layered resin-on-glass sculptures, presents a series of "hallucinatory vignettes" which are "preminisces of bygone days that have yet to transpire." Yellin is friends with a lot of famous types, so head to the opening for a celebrity sighting or two.

Half Gallery, 208 Forsyth St. 6-8 p.m.
