duroexhibit.jpgKnown for his brilliant prints, London-based, Nigeria-born designer Duro Olowu is bringing his sensibility to new York with "Material," an art show-cum-pop-up shop. His own designs will be "languidly installed" amidst paintings, photos and installations by a slew of artists, like Hamidou Maiga, Laurie Simmons and Tony Cox.
Salon 94, 1 Freeman Alley, New York. Through Mar. 10.

lvexhibit.jpgParis' Les Arts Decoratifs will present "an analysis rather than a retrospective" of oft-intertwined designers, Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs. Engaging the mind as well as the eye, the exhibit will focus on the cultural and technological forces that shaped each designer's work just as much as they, in turn, shaped the fashion industry.
Les Arts Decoratifs, 107 Rue de Rivoli, Paris. Mar. 9 -Sept.16.
