Luc Carl, Lady Gaga's ex, muse and St. Jerome's regular, was profiled in the New York Times today, and among other things, reveals that his hairstylist "is the stylist for the cast of 'Chicago,'" and that re: Gaga, "I was madly in love for a long time." The story's Lada Gaga focus (the headline is "Lady Gaga's Muse Tests His Poker Face) had us wondering whether the piece's author Steven Kurutz received an email this morning like the one we got when Alex Catarinella profiled him for our nightlife issue back in 2010. The story, which you can read here, is quite harmless. But it drew the wrath of Luc. Here's our post-article correspondence.-------

I've never read you magazine. Never even heard of it. I asked around and heard nothing but good things so I said yes to you. You really let me down.

Sorry to hear you're disappointed with the piece. We didn't write that you were in a relationship with her one way or the other - just that there is speculation, and kept things intentionally vague. But i am curious - when did you say we couldn't mention her? Did you tell the
writer? Me? The photographer? I am looking through my old emails and can't find anything where you say that.
