R&B singer Kelela announced today that she's releasing a new EP, HALLUCINOGEN, on May 5 ahead of her debut album's drop in the fall and shared the video for the first of six tracks. In the clip for her Arca-produced track, "A Message," the musician transforms into a glowing, neon-tinged anime character but the big moment occurs about halfway through when we watch her cut-off her signature waist-length dreadlocks. (Two's a trend?) The song "speaks to the despair I was experiencing at the time," Kelela says in a press release and is part of a theme that chronicles the six stages of a relationship.
