The 10 Strangest Pieces Of Celebrity Memorabilia Ever Sold

Just this week Willie Nelson's red, braided, and probably weed-scented pigtails were sold at auction for $37,000. Surprisingly, this isn't even the apex of weird celebrity memorabilia that's been sold for ridiculous amounts of money. We decided to take a deep dive into the weird/wonderful world of celebrity memorabilia to bring you the top ten strangest things to ever be sold.

william-shatner.jpg1. William Shatner's Kidney Stone

William Shatner sold his own kidney stones to an online casino for a pricey $25,000. Luckily, the proceeds went to charity but the thought of a kidney stone that Shatner said is so big "you'd want to wear it on your finger" floating around the world is a little bit more than disturbing.

justin_sfrenchtoast.jpg2. Justin Timberlake's Unfinished French Toast

One morning back in 2006 Justin Timberlake didn't finish his french toast at a morning radio appearance. That'd be unremarkable were it not for the fact that JT's uneaten breakfast was later sold for the amount a lot of New Yorkers pay on rent after a 19-year-old fan dropped over $1k for the toast at an auction. We wish the fan and his/her toast all the best.

scarjo_tissue.jpg3. Scarlett Johansson's Used Tissue

After ScarJo used a tissue on The Tonight Show in 2008, those famous boogers were auctioned off for $5,300. While we commend the auction for giving it to charity, we really really don't want to know whatever happened to the snot-filled tissue (but kind of really really want to know who bought it).

A set of x-rays and the partial medical history of Marilyn Monroe was sold in 2013 for $25,000. While x-ray wall décor might be ideal creepy doctors or Halloween stans, it's hard to imagine anyone even close to normal dropping a quarter million to see the bones of a long dead starlet.

5. Britney Spears' Used Pregnancy Test

The same online casino that bought Shatner's kidney stone also broke some boundaries by paying $5,100 for the used and positive pregnancy test Britney took way back during her K-Fed days. Honestly, with people digging through her trash and selling this kind of stuff, it's amazing she didn't shave her head sooner.

johnlennonstooth.jpg6. John Lennon's Tooth

While it's by no means normal that someone bought John Lennon's tooth for $31,000, the weirder part of the entire story is that this tooth was originally a gift to his housekeeper. It's only at the highest point of fame that your gross molar is a really well-meaning tip.

blog141009_mj.jpg7. Michael Jackson's Burnt Hair

Burnt hair from Michael Jackson's infamous Pepsi incident was auctioned off in 2009 for $1,600. So...apparently the celebrity hair trade is booming?

8. Queen Elizabeth's Underwear

Back in the '60s and in the midst of traveling around the world, the Queen of England managed to leave her underwear on a plane -- been there done that -- where they were somehow collected by Baron Joseph de Bicske Dobronyi. When he died in 2010, his estate -- panties included -- ended up on eBay. And, with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee approaching, the royal knickers fetched $18,000.

jbhair.jpg9. Justin Bieber's Hair

While it's pretty unsurprising that Bieber Fever extends to buying his lovely locks, the crazy part is the insane amount of money someone dropped to own a few strands of the pop star's hair. Clocking in at $40,668 this hair owns the unofficial title of "Most Expensive Celebrity Hair."

joliejar2a.jpg10. Air That Existed In The Presence Of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

While at only $530 -- the cheapest item on the list -- the entire concept of this celebrity memorabilia is too weird not to include. In case there's any ambiguity in the title, we'll clarify: someone bought an actual jar of air because the air was nearby Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. There's not even a joke to make because the entire sale is a joke unto itself.

Feeling a little let out that you didn't bid on any of this stuff? No worries. You're not too late to bid on a swizzle stick belonging to Marlene Dietrich, Linda Lovelace's own high school yearbook, or an invitation to Michael Jackson's funeral. Oh, and FYI, you can click "Buy It Now" on a pair of Whoopi Goldberg's dirty high tops.
