HaroldHunterDay_1.jpgTomorrow is the eighth annual Harold Hunter Day, celebrating the life of the definitive "New York City street rat," skateboarder and one of the most memorable characters in Larry Clark's film, Kids. Fortunately his memory lives on through the Harold Hunter Foundation and their fundraising for skate camp scholarships and programs. Start off by heading over to Paragon Sports (18th St. and Broadway) tonight, Friday, October 10, 7 to 10 p.m., for a "Decked Out" party with a silent auction of skate decks by 24 NYC artists and music from Washer & Aliens. It's FREE with an RSVP to deckedout@paragonsports.com, but there's a $10 suggested donation. The big celebration is Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Coleman Oval Skatepark (62 Pike Street) on the Lower East Side; and then there's an afterparty at Epstein's Bar (82 Stanton Street) sponsored by SHUT Skateboards and G-Shock, featuring Eli Morgan Gesner and music by DJ Smoke L.E.S.
