Break out your damn good coffee and doughnuts folks because nearly 25 years after it premiered, beloved cult show Twin Peaks is baaack. After teasing us with a tweet last Friday, the show's original creators David Lynch and Mark Frost announced (via a YouTube video, above, and a tweet) that the soap will return as a limited series on Showtime. Deadline reports that the show, which will be set in the present day, will go into production in 2015 and air in 2015. Lynch will direct every episode in addition co-writing each with Frost. No word on which actors will appear in the re-boot but there's been speculation Kyle MacLachlan (aka Agent Dale Cooper) will be return and back in January, Ray Wise (aka Leland Palmer) revealed he'd shot some new Twin Peaks footage.
Fingers crossed Log Lady will be back in 2016.
