TITLE: "MEET DANIEL BEJAR"
LOCATION: Varet and White St. Brooklyn
Meet artist Daniel Bejar, the man behind "Lost New York," an art project that replaced subway signage with boroughs' original, 17th century names. This included the Dutch "Breuckelen" for Brooklyn and the Lenape term "Manahatta" for Manhattan. (This Bejar is not to be confused with the other Daniel Bejar of Destroyer, though the two look nearly identical, inspiring the former's "Googlegänger" project.)
