Finally the title track off of Janelle Monáe's latest album, The Electric Lady, gets a video and in it, we see the singer like (almost) never before: in casual separates. She gets rid of the pompadour and suit in favor of pretty curls, a crop top, varsity jacket and black pants, playing a member of the "Electro Phi Betas" sorority. Like a scene out of Grease, Monáe's fellow Betas pick her up in a vintage ride (after a cameo by the singer's mom) and head to a house party where T.I.'s hanging out and framed photos of sorority alums like Estelle, Esperanza Spalding, Kimbra and T-Boz(!) come to life á la Harry Potter.
