Hair Apparent: Shoplifter's "Vanities" Opens Tonight at Charles Bank Gallery

Hrafnhildur Arnardottir, aka Shoplifter, is, to put it simply, a genius. The Icelandic-born, New York-based artist, who works frequently with Bjork and fashion line VPL, uses hair as her primary medium -- both synthetic and human -- and for this, her first exhibit with Charles Bank Gallery, presents a series of magical hair installations, several of which feature smiley faces.
