Alberta Ferretti's Future Chic

At her show Thursday, Alberta Ferretti turned to plastic to give her new Philosophy collection a clean, futuristic edge. Her skirt suits, sheath dresses and tailored jackets in faint, neutral colors were cinched with plastic belts. Even lambskin fur coats got the plastic treatment. The collection, which just skirted the realm of minimalism, was adorned with bejeweled collars and dresses got a plastic overlay with crystal beading. The end result looked like something along the lines of work wear for androids. See the backstage photos below.
