CLOSED's S/S '12 Mojave Desert Campaign Is All About the Color

It may be dark and sleet-y outside our window but that doesn't mean we're not daydreaming of sunshine and warmer months.  We recently got a hold of images from CLOSED's Spring/Summer 2012 ad campaign, which features four "real people" (a.k.a. non-models) looking lovely and louche in the Mojave desert. The brand, which is based in Germany but is sold throughout the U.S. in stores like Intermix and Fred Segal, often gets compared to the "J. Crew of Germany" for its emphasis on denim and upmarket casual. J.Crew comparisons aside, we love the bright colors of the collection and the neon yellow-green jeans in particular.  We were also intrigued by their models, which include Ry Cuming, an L.A.-based Australian singer/songwriter, L.A-based German actress/writer Jessica Joffe, Michael Fujikawa, a self-described "Man of the People," and Rachel Pouillat, a Berlin-based French DJ.  We kinda wish we had been on-set during their Mojave shoot.
