Though Leighton Meester appears every bit as much of a fashionista as her Gossip Girl character, Blair Waldorf, we were relieved to learn at the Vera Wang show that her sartorial taste wasn't always so savvy. Meester told PAPERMAG: "I made a lot of my own clothes when I was younger. I would do the old iron-on patches and then I would have a big shirt with a scrunchie. I'd also wear neon green tights with matching shorts and nylon hair ties for the side ponyyail on St. Patrick's Day. That type of thing.
