The trailer for The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the upcoming movie that Ben Stiller both directs and stars in alongside everyone you want to be besties with -- including Kristen Wiig, Shirley MacLaine, Patton Oswalt, Sean Penn, Adam Scott, and Kathryn Hahn -- has finally arrived. Stiller's Secret Life of Walter Mitty is loosely based on a story James Thurber published in the New Yorker in 1939. Where Thurber's Walter Mitty is a man who escapes his nagging wife by imagining himself in all sorts of war/hospital/spy drama scenarios, Stiller's is an unmarried photo researcher at Life magazine whose fantasies are more far-reaching. The trailer itself is visually epic but unrevealing: we learn that Mitty is interested in Wiig's character, that Adam Scott absolutely needs to shave right now, and that Sean Penn plays himself coming alive from a picture.
