As part of her role as Creative Consultant to Warby Parker Chrissie Miller teamed up with her longtime collaborator, photographer Cass Bird, to produce a short video for the eyewear brand's new '70s New York-inspired Ocean Avenue collection. Taking cues from 1979 dystopian gang flick The Warriors, the clip features cute bespectacled kids hanging out on the Coney Island boardwalk before a posse of leather and jean jacket-wearing 'toughs' interrupt them and start making trouble. The two groups duke it out but this time it's more West Side Story than Warriors -- they pull out dance moves instead of knives.
Now if only the two cliques acknowledged their mutual love of retro-inspired eyewear that possessed the magical power of turning everyone (no matter the gender) into foxy librarians, the whole confrontation could've been avoided...but, then again, their dance battle was pretty awesome.
