Kids these days! Rutgers University is currently offering a course called "Politicizing Beyoncé." Kevin Allred, a post-doc in the department of Women's and Gender studies, explains that he uses the singer's music, on-stage persona and personal life to examine race, gender and politics in Amerca. "She certainly pushes boundaries," Allred explained on the Rutgers news site.
"While other artists are simply
releasing music, she's creating a grand narrative around her life, her
career, and her persona."We decided to help out the students enrolled in the course, and came up with some foolproof, potential final paper topics:
