Directed by Luke Wyatt using his trademark "video mulch" technique, Dust's clip for "Past Future" (premiering here) surrounds singer Angela Chambers with all kinds of VHS static, splicing in frames from Saturday-morning fantasy cartoons and low-budget '80s schlock. The use of outdated technology perfectly fits the song's title and slightly ominous retro-electro-Italo-disco vibe. A collaboration between Michael Sherburn and promoter/PAPER contributor John Barclay, Dust just released their three-song debut EP, also called Past Future, on 12" vinyl via Low Life Inc. You can stream the whole thing below, including artist Greem Jellyfish's take on Phuture's acid-house classic "Your Only Friend."
