The Robert Lazzarini exhibit, (damage), at Marlborough Chelsea (545 West 25th Street) is finally opening tonight, January 10, 6 to 8 p.m. Originally scheduled to open in November, the show was one of the many canceled or postponed after Hurricane Sandy. The New York-based artist is known for his planar and wave distorted images -- they look like you dropped acid and the world melted into a fun-house mirror. Marlborough is also opening the first solo exhibit of paintings by Yoshiaki Mochizuki on the gallery's second floor. Both are up until February 16.
