Accompanying the upcoming MoMA exhibition of the same name, Doryun Chong's new book Tokyo 1955-1970: A New Avant-Garde explores the provocative and radical art produced in post-war Japan. The book is filled with over 200 pages of vibrant pictures and illustrations that feature the paintings, sculpture, photography, dance and more that was being created in this transformative period of Tokyo's history. Some of it is brilliant, some of it it's really strange, but all of it is fascinating. The exhibition runs from November 18, 2012 to February 25, 2013. Take a sneak peek at images below.
