Wyclef Jean, he who recently celebrated his birthday by posing in his skivvies next to his Ducati, will soon be giving New Yorkers something it so desperately needs: a celebrity-endorsed restaurant. The singer told the folks over at Power 105.1 that "in six to nine months, I will be opening my own place in New York City...I feel that we can use a spot in New York that has culture...where it's DJ culture, it's band culture, it's lounge culture, it's vibe." We'll give you a second to stop laughing. Are you done? Okay, great. So you'll never guess what this vibin' lounge/band/DJ culture spot will be called: The Refugee Lounge.
Well, assuming the name is a nod to his band (and not, you know, the state of many citizens of his native Haiti), we have a few menu ideas:
-"Killing Me Soft-(Boiled Eggs)"
-"Fu-Gee-La(sagne)"
-"The Sweetest Thing (Chocolate Lava Cake)"
-"Strumming My Pain With His (Chicken) Fingers"
-"Ready Or Not (Twice Baked Potato)"
-"No Woman, No Fry (Baked Chicken)"
-"Gonna Find You And Take It Slow (Cooked Braised Ribs)"
"Bless You If You Represent the Fu(silli with Grilled Chicken and Pesto Cream Sauce)"
We'll even waive our consultation fee.
As always, leave your suggestions in the comments below.
