São Paulo-based Adriano Cintra and London-based Marina Vello formed Madrid last year after already having had successful music careers as part of two of Brazil's best-loved baile funk bands (that would be CSS and Bonde do Rolê, respectively). If you're expecting more of the same carioca dance music from this new outfit, however, you might be disappointed -- even though you probably shouldn't be. Madrid's songs are slower, sparser indie rock tracks with an emphasis on vocals and keyboard and, while they might not be right for the club, they're perfect for quieter, more introspective moments. We're excited to be premiering one such song, "Till Things Fall Apart," from the band's self-titled LP, the deluxe version of which comes out on December 4. Listen to it below.
