Already likened to Game of Thrones, Ellie Goulding's latest video, "Anything Could Happen," treats viewers to a phantasmagoric beach setting and celestial chanting (that kind of reminds us of another futuristic, genre-defying singer) that sets the tone for the otherworldly clip. Shots of Goulding -- who appears to possess powers of levitation -- and a bloodied tattooed beau on the craggy beach are interspersed with the two in a car, the latter of which seems to act as an IRL explanation and back story for all of the ethereal imagery beforehand. We don't want to spoil the ending or the larger meaning Goulding seems to imply so we'll stop right here and let you watch the whole thing for yourself.
"Anything Could Happen" is the lead single off of Goulding's forthcoming Lights follow up, Halcyon, due next month.
