1. Prince William rescued a drowning girl yesterday. [Gawker via Daily Mail]
2. Instagram may try to re-create the 60s, and 70s with their filter styles but a new app called Strut Type is attempting to recreate the 1860s and 70s. With a variety of filters, canvases, textures, light leaks, vignettes and frames, you can make that photo of your friend appear as if he and his beard were unironically fighting in the Civil War. 3. Animal Collective has a new video out for their song "Today's Supernatural" and, just as the title would suggest, it's pretty frickin' weird. Featuring a terrifying clown and something that kind of looks like the Chinese New Year dragon's drug-addled cousin riding a desert cruiser, this one's not something to watch before bed. 4. A lot of people (ourselves included) might not know about several sound-centric public art works scattered throughout New York City. Helpfully, Gallerist has a cool round-up today of just these types of installations and now we want to hop over to Madison Square Park and listen to "pet sounds" come out of a big blob on a bench (above).
5. Yesterday we introduced you to Shaun Sperling, the delightful kid who danced to Madonna's "Vogue" at his bar mitzvah and here he is -- all grown up -- talking to some HuffPo journalists about it...and dancing, too! You've still got moves, Shaun!

The resto will be rechristened Pok Pok Phat Thai (another name for pad thai) and serve four different variations: pork, prawn, pork and prawn and vegan. It'll re-open next Friday. 7. Here's Tori Spelling -- about to pop with her fourth child -- getting around on a mobility scooter. TGIF, everyone! [via Daily Mail]
