Earlier this week, Lady Gaga announced via Twitter that she is releasing a joint single with rapper Kendrick Lamar called "PARTYNAUSEOUS," slated to release September 6th. Back in July, Gaga stopped by the Pitchfork festival in Chicago for Lamar's set. We were at the festival and minutes beforehand, got a tip that this was going to happen, so when security locked down the area backstage where she was to be hanging out, we were already there, inside the barriers.
She arrived with a team of armed guards (and holding a black fur coat, in sweltering heat), and promptly, mysteriously, tried to climb the barriers (while wearing 5-inch Louboutins and a short skirt) before getting to the proper entrance. She didn't, as was rumored, end up performing with Lamar, but instead, giddily danced, drank and smoked while watching from side stage. Below, enjoy this previously unpublished set of photos of her arrival and fence-climbing attempts (and ensuing rescue/hoist moves by cyborg security guys), chilling onstage and backstage before taking off in the front seat(!) of a jumbo black SUV.
