To celebrate the upcoming release of his new cookbook and visual guidebook about all things radical beanmaking and plant-based eating, Kill the Recipe: A Cookbook and Visual Guidebook on the Basics of Radical Beanmaking and Plant-based Eating, Mark Andrew Gravel (that's 'the Bean Activist,' as we dubbed him in our May issue, to you) is hosting a party at Kinfolk Studios in Williamsburg later this month.
And it's not just any party. Yes, there will be a bar and DJs (including Alex Pasternak, Disco Rude and William) spinning. But there will be so much more -- beans, that is. Gravel, also the founder of Bean-In, will be putting together "improvisational bean salads" with produce from Brooklyn Grange throughout the evening, which has been dubbed, wait for it...Cool Beans. Yes.
Compass Green will also be on hand with a mobile greenhouse truck project to launch its east coast tour.
Cool Beans is happening on August 26. Check out the flyer below for more details.
